There are weeks when Milan changes pace, and this is the most anticipated of the year. Milan Fashion Week turns the city into a runway: showrooms, historic palazzi and central streets fill with shows, buyers and international press, alongside exhibitions, screenings and installations open to the public.

In 2026 women's fashion week runs from Tuesday 22 to Monday 28 September, with the Spring/Summer 2027 collections shown according to the official Camera Moda calendar. If you're staying in the city, you experience it simply by walking around, even without an invitation to the shows.

When is Milan Fashion Week 2026

The official Camera Moda calendar brings together more than two hundred shows, presentations and events over seven days. It opens on Tuesday 22 September, peaks over the weekend with the major houses and closes on Monday 28 with a day dedicated to digital shows and young talent. Times and venues of individual shows should be checked on the official calendar, as they can change until the last minute.

The show schedule

  • Tuesday 22: Prada opens; in the evening, Vogue World in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
  • Wednesday 23: Fendi, Missoni and Etro, among others.
  • Friday 25: one of the most watched days, with Gucci and the debut of Moschino's new creative direction.
  • Saturday 26: Ferragamo, Dolce&Gabbana and, in the evening, Bottega Veneta.
  • Sunday 27: Giorgio Armani closes the main shows, at 11 am.
  • Monday 28: digital presentations and new names.

The programme may change. Before any show, we recommend checking the official calendar published by Camera Moda.

Vogue World in the Galleria

The week opened with Vogue World, held on the evening of 22 September in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. After New York, London, Paris and Hollywood, Vogue's format chose Milan and its most iconic salon, turning the city's nineteenth-century heart into a stage.

Around the shows, everything else happens: boutiques with special installations, cocktails, exhibitions and events spread between the centre and the creative districts. Many are invitation-only, but several are open to everyone.

Open to all: what to see without an invitation

  • Dalí e la Moda, Palazzo Reale: the exhibition on Salvador Dalí's relationship with fashion opens on 24 September and runs until 31 January 2027, with more than 200 works including paintings, garments, jewellery, photographs and films. Palazzo Reale is easy to reach from HÕMA 22 Marzo and HÕMA Cinque Giornate.
  • Fashion Hub, Palazzo Morando: on Via Sant'Andrea, in the heart of the Quadrilatero, Camera Moda's meeting point during the week.
  • Cinemoda: the film series on fashion and cinema, at the Arlecchino cinema.
  • Live shows: streamed on the Fashion LED Cube in Piazza della Croce Rossa, a short walk from Via Montenapoleone.

Experiencing Milan during Fashion Week

The Quadrilatero della Moda, between Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, Via Manzoni and Corso Venezia, is the beating heart of the week. Inside it are addresses worth a visit regardless of the shows: the Bagatti Valsecchi house museum on Via Gesù, the rooftop at Palazzo Fendi, dinner at Beefbar inside Portrait Milano or at La Volta at RH Milan on Corso Venezia.

It's also worth venturing beyond the centre: to Brera for its galleries, to Porta Venezia and Cinque Giornate for dinner away from the crowds, and on to the districts reshaping tomorrow's Milan. A few tips for making the most of these days:

  • book restaurants and aperitivo early, as the best tables go fast;
  • use the metro, the quickest way across the city when traffic slows;
  • leave plenty of time between appointments, given the distances and the crowds;
  • decide in advance where to spend your evenings, based on the events scheduled.

Fashion Week happens on the runway, but its rhythm belongs to the whole city. And when the shows are over, the Quadrilatero stays.

Where to stay in Milan during Fashion Week

During fashion week, sleeping in the right place makes all the difference. If you want to be at the heart of the shows, the Quadrilatero is the most convenient address; if you prefer a quiet but well-connected base, the other HÕMA properties are spread across different neighbourhoods, designed for those who experience Milan from the inside rather than as passing tourists.
